The Villages

"We should do." Kaisu agreed. "See you later, Ren."
"Bye!" Nakida chorused happily.

Cross squealed again and hugged both of them before waving goodbye and scampering after the others.

A few days passed since Ren had seen his teammates in Sujou Village. The priest had finally returned, and it was time to do his duty to his family, as Yuki was doing in this arranged marriage.

An hour remained until it would begin. Ren was walking around the outskirts of the village in his suit, wondering if Hikaru had gotten his message and would come to his wedding with the others.

"So," said Cross, looking around "Here we are, nice day for a wedding ... better than the last one I went to,"

"What would that be?" Hikaru asked.

"The groom ran off with the best man, and left the bride at the altar," Cross explained "His mother and father got into an argument and then divorced, the vicar tried to burn the church down and I made out with the maid of honour,"

He smiled and then realised something.
"Oh! You mean the weather, no it was rainy ... and windy ... and y'know, Scottish,"

"Sounds..." Hikaru didn't bother finishing his thought, instead, he went to Ren, "Well, we're here."

"I'm glad to see all of you." Ren said, "It makes me feel good to see my comrades here at my wedding. You don't know how happy this makes me."

"No problem, Ren." Kaisu beamed. Nakida was gazing around the church and stopped on someone for a moment before her eyes travelled again.

Cross followed her gaze for a second and then frowned, a man was standing at the far end of the church, leaning on a gravestone. Arashi. He was staring at Ren from behind his sunglasses. Sakura moved alongside Nakida and pretended not to notice the trenchcoat sporting man.
"There's something ... weird about that guy," She whispered.

Yuri tugged on Ren's hand and then pointed at Arashi who had started to move away.
"Is that guy walking off your dad or something?" She asked.

(It's fine)

Ren followed her point to the man. His eyes widened in realization for a moment. That was the man whom had spoken to him once before, telling him things about his teammates, things that were private to them, and damaging as well.

What was he doing here?

Regardless, Ren couldn't focus on him at the moment. He would stay focused on keeping an eye on him, but he had to go through with the wedding. If this man noticed that Ren wasn't paying attention to his own wedding, then something bad might happen. He might do something.

"No, he's not." Ren told Yuri, but didn't say anything else.

"So is he your girlfriend's d-?" Yuri asked.

"Let's go inside!" Cross said, louder than he needed to, in an attempt to cheer everyone up.

"Yeah, let's go inside." Ren agreed, hoping that Yuri wouldn't keep asking about that man, also hoping that the man wasn't going to be a problem.

"Soooo ..." Cross mumbled looking around "We're with you right so we're on the grooms side ... which ones that?"

"The right side." Ren said, looking at a clock in the back of the church, "It's starting soon, I need to go."

"Bye!" Nakida chimed as he left. "So... Should we go get seats?" She asked.

Meanwhile, Kaisu was still staring at the spot where Arashi wa- had been.

He wasn't there.

Curiosity peaked, he walked away from the group and began to root him out.

Sakura sat down near the end of a row and tried to look at the faces. Then she leaned over to Cross an Nakida.
"I recognise Yuki's parents," she whispered "But do you know anyone else? do you see Ren's mum or anything?"
Cross craned his neck and then shook his head.
"I don't know anyone, sorry," He said with a shrug "Ren doesn't talk about his family much ..."

"None of us do." Nakida said darkly.

"I mean... All of us have some tainted background."

"That, and it'll be kinda hard for me." She said with a wary laugh.

"Ooh, it's starting!" Nakida announced and she hugged Cross again.

Cross smiled and put an arm round Nakida.

As the wedding came to an end, Ren noticed that the man in black was still there. But he wouldn't worry about that at the moment. He was married now; he had done what he had to for his parents. That was what mattered.

Yuri tugged on one of Yuki's fingers.
"Excuse me, Mrs. Blonde guy?" She asked, again pointing to Arashi "Is he your dad or something?"

"My name is Yuki." Yuki told Yuri, then looked to where Yuri was pointing, "No...I don't know who he is."

"Forget him for now." Ren said softly.

Cross glanced behind him, was that bastard still here?
He was. He considered asking Ren if he could take something heavy and punch him with it when the man started to walk off.

Sakura picked her sister up and looked up at Yuki with a sort of awkward nod.
"Hi ... congratulations,"

"Thank you." Yuki told Sakura, "I'm glad you're here; I know Ren really wanted you all to be here."
