The Villages

"I'd tell you if I was getting married," Cross informed them, he folded his arms and looked away from Ren "I thought we were a team,"

"We are a team, but an arranged marriage that I may or may not go through with didn't seem the most important thing to tell you guys about."

"Neither of us were sure if this would happen." Yuki said, backing up Ren, "So neither of us really talked about it or anything."

"Huh..." Kaisu breathed.

"Wait... Cross, I mean... Sure, we met because of our jobs and all, but... Are we invited?" Kaisu slowly drawed out.

"Sorry, stupid question. You guys have planned this for a while, you wouldn't have met us."

"Can I come! Pleeeeeease," Cross whined "I promise I won't flirt with anyone unless I get really, really drunk,"

There was a hard knocking sound as Sakura banged her head against the wall.

Cross grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back.

"This is how he demonstrates how he's sober." He muttered to himself.

"I am sober!" Cross insisted, swatting at Kaisu.

"Yeah... Yeah... Whatever." Kaisu said dissmissively.

"I swear! I'm not drunk! Do I look drunk?" He asked.
Sakura glanced at Yuki "He isn't normally like this ..." She told her "He's just been to a party last ni-"
"I'm not drunk!"

"Okay, Cross... If you say so. Leave them alone for a moment, will you?" Nakida laughed.

Cross sighed and took a step back.
"Fine ..." He muttered.

"If you guys want to come, we have no problem with that." Ren said, before they kept going on.

"Thanks." Nakida grinned as Kaisu beamed. She jumped up and down for a while before huffing and hugging Cross' arm. She jumped off and let her arms rest awkwardly by her sides.

"So, where's it held?"

"In the church here in the village." Ren told Nakida.

Cross smiled a bit at Nakida and then blushed.
"Wh-when is it?" Cross asked, blushing a little and trying not to look at Nakida.

"In a day or two. It depends on when our priest gets back from his trip." Ren said.

Nakida blushed as well and stepped back. Kaisu raised an eyebrow and gave a small smile.

"Sounds good. We've all got enough days off."

"Is Kenji going to approve of this, though?" Ren questioned.

"Well, let's see. I had a boyfriend join New Terra and come try to kill us for killing me and you get married." Nakida joked flatly.

"You guys probably shouldn't tell him, then." Ren said.

[It was a comparison of the two scenarios.

What Nakida meant was that Kenji couldn't really do anything as it didn't really matter.]

"I think he'll just throw a bitch-fit or something," Sakura said "He's more concerned that he'll have to organize life-insurance and counselling for Yuki in the event that you die a horrible death,"

So, she was still a bit annoyed ...

"Well, then ignore him." Ren said, "Just come and forget about him."

Hikaru nodded, "I'm going to have to agree with Ren here."

"Thankyou!" Nakida squealed with delight.

Perfect! She thought to herself.

"Works for me," Cross smiled.

"Let's go back to the Phoenix for the time." Hikaru said, "I'm sure Ren has things to deal with here."
